Interactive Board

Put this on the big screen. Drag pieces to build any position, load a classic opening and step through it move by move, or jump straight to a common endgame. Nothing is graded and no move is forced, so it is a safe place to explore out loud together.

About the knight puzzle

The knight starts on e6 with eight pawns placed so it can capture every one of them, back to back, in exactly eight legal L-shaped moves. The capture order is:

c7 → d5 → c3 → e2 → f4 → h5 → g7 → e8

This is a movement demonstration, not a legal game, since the pawns never get a turn. Have students narrate each hop out loud: "two squares over, one square up." That narration is the actual lesson. Used in Week 2, Day 2.
